history

The diocese of San Pedro-en-Côte d'Ivoire was established on October 23, 1989 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Quo efficacius from cessions of territory from the diocese of Gagnoa . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Gagnoa as a suffragan .
