The diocese Sangmélima ( lat. : Dioecesis Sangmelimaensis ) is in Cameroon situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Sangmélima .

history

The diocese Sangmélima was on January 18, 1963 by Pope John XXIII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quod superno from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Douala and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Yaoundé as a suffragan . The diocese Sangmélima gave on May 20, 1991 parts of its territory to establish the diocese Ebolowa-Kribi .
