The Bistum Tsiroanomandidy ( lat. : Dioecesis Tsiroanomandidyensis ) is in Madagascar preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Tsiroanomandidy .

history

Pope Pius XII founded the Apostolic Prefecture Miarinarivo on January 13, 1949 out of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate Miarinarivo .

On December 11, 1958, it was raised to a diocese, which was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Antananarivo as a suffragan.

On February 8, 2017, it gave up more than half of its territory and three of the twenty existing parishes to establish the diocese of Maintirano .
