The Bistum Tunduru Masasi ( lat. : Dioecesis Tunduruensis-Masasiensis ) is an in Tanzania preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Tunduru .

history

The diocese of Tunduru-Masasi was established on October 17, 1986 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Cogitantes de Ecclesia from cessions of territory from the Diocese of Nachingwea and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam as a suffragan . On November 18, 1987, the diocese of Tunduru-Masasi was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Songea as a suffragan.
