Filbert Felician Mhasi

Filbert Felician Mhasi (born November 30, 1970 in Biro , Morogoro region , Tanzania ) is a Tanzanian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Tunduru-Masasi .

Life

Filbert Felician Mhasi attended the St. Francis Minor Seminary in Ifakara from 1986 to 1992 . 1993 Mhasi began on Seminary Our Lady of the Angels in Moshi the study of philosophy . From 1995 to 1998 he studied Catholic theology at the St. Paul Seminary in Tabora . Mhasi received on 3 July 2001, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In 2003 Filbert Felician Mhasi graduated from Mwenge Catholic University in Moshi with a degree in educational science before becoming Vice-Rector, Economist and Lecturer at the St. Francis Minor Seminary in Ifakara. From 2005 to 2009 he completed a degree in philosophy at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh , which he completed with a master's degree. After that, Mhasi became the rain of the Minor Seminary in Ifakara. In 2014 Filbert Felician Mhasi was appointed pastor at Christ the King Cathedral in Mahenge . In 2015 he also became director of the St. Joseph Secondary School .

On December 8, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tunduru-Masasi. The Archbishop of Dar es Salaam , Polycarp Cardinal Pengo , donated to him on 17 February 2019 of the St. Francis Xavier Church in Tunduru the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Songea , Damian Dalu , and the Bishop of Mahenge , Agapiti Ndorobo .
