The Roman Catholic Diocese of Warangal ( lat. : Dioecesis Varangalensis ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Warangal .

history

The Diocese of Warangal was on December 22, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Cum de Hyderabadensi from cessions of territory of the diocese of Hyderabad . On May 31, 1976, the Warangal diocese gave parts of its territory to establish the Nalgonda diocese . Another assignment of territory took place on January 18, 1988 to establish the Diocese of Khammam .

It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Hyderabad as a suffragan .
