Blagota Sekulić ( Cyrillic : Благота Секулић; born March 14, 1982 in Titograd , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin basketball player.

Player career

Sekulić started his career at his home club KK Budućnost Podgorica . In December 2000 he was listed there as a 2.02 m tall outside player . Sekulić, who was also a Yugoslav junior national player, had his first brief appearances in the Euroleague at the age of 18 . After a growth spurt , his coaches retrained him to become an indoor player . He continued his career in the following years with Partizan Belgrade and with the Greek first division clubs AEK Athens , GS Marousi and PAOK Thessaloniki , before accepting an offer from Real Madrid in January 2007 , with which he became ULEB Cup champion and Spanish champion in 2007 . After an engagement at Aris Thessaloniki , he moved to ALBA Berlin in February 2009 to compensate for the injured Patrick Femerling . In 2010 he made it with Alba - again from his point of view - in the final game of the ULEB Eurocup, which was lost to the Spanish representative Power Electronics Valencia . After the play-offs for the German championship were disappointing for the club, Sekulić left Berlin for Italy . After a year at Vanoli Cremona , he signed a contract with the Spanish club from Murcia in 2011 . After relegation, he moved to the first division returnees and promoted from Tenerife after a season . This achieved a good tenth place with an even balance and only just missed the place in the play-offs for the championship. In the following season, Sekulić was twice player of the month in the first three months of the season as the most effective player in the league. In early February 2014, Turkish Euroleague club Fenerbahçe Ülker, who suffered from injuries, bought him out of his contract and Sekulić moved to Istanbul , where he played under the European coaching legend Željko Obradović . In summer 2014 I went back to Tenerife. From 2016 to 2018 the center played at Baloncesto Fuenlabrada . In September 2018 he switched to San Sebastián Gipuzkoa BC .
