The Bleiche is a mountain stream that rises in the Harz and flows into the Radau in the Harzburg district of Bündheim .

course

The bleach rises southwest of Harzburg am Bleicheborn , about 578  m above sea level. NHN located source north of the Breitenberg . It flows mainly in a north-northeast direction through spruce-lined, incised valleys towards Bündheim. From the left it picks up the corner of the knuckle at 546 meters . On the outskirts, the Bleiche picks up a few streams from the left and right, and its valley is the location of two water extraction systems. It is led under the forest road in a concrete channel, crosses the settlement structure and picks up the stream coming from the left from the Borntal. This rises south of the Elfenstein and flows into the Bleiche at the road Im Bleichetal not far from the Elfengrund. Another stream from the right leads through the Bleiche meadows, which also comes from the valley of the Bleiche.

In the area of the Harzburg golf course, the stream runs in straight trenches and loses its natural structure. In the further course the Bleiche meanders through Bündheim along Silberbornstraße to the church and the castle park. It passes this to the east, is crossed by the state road in the direction of Goslar, Dr.-Heinrich-Jasper-Strasse, at the level of Kantor-Schünemann-Strasse and joins Radau at Bleichestrasse.
