Blue Dart Aviation is an Indian cargo airline based in Chennai and based at Chennai Airport . It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Post .
history
Blue Dart Express was founded in 1983 and was originally a door-to-door express service for documents and packages. In 1996, Blue Dart Express overnight express cargo company called Blue Dart Aviation Ltd . In 2006, Blue Dart Express was taken over by DHL , but will continue to operate as an independent company and fly under its own name and colors. It also operates its own repair and maintenance operation for its own fleet and other companies.
