Bloody sweat (original title: Poliziotti violenti ) is a crime film that Michele Massimo Tarantini made in 1976. Alternative titles are Die Ratten von Milano and Ein Profi hunt die Killer .
action
Paolo Altieri, major of the paratroopers, is promoted to Rome because he wants to clear up some corruption incidents too vigorously. After meeting the pretty Anna, he was able to prevent a child from being kidnapped, but discovered that the submachine gun used by the gangsters must have come from the paratroopers' stocks. With the help of the radical police commissioner Tosi, Altieri, whose superior has meanwhile had to resign because of the use of force against an officer, can avoid several attacks - although Anna dies - and track down a conspiracy. The unsuspecting lawyer Vieri brokered contacts with high officers in order to overthrow democracy together. Vieri is shot by Altieri, who accidentally dies too.
reception
"An exciting and rude police film", summarizes Karsten Thurau and says that the experienced craftsman Tarantini as a director "can rely on the driving music of the De Angelis brothers, a solid camera work and the decent actors", especially Henry Silva praises. The local critics praised the director, who proved to master all the techniques and tricks of the Italian police film style; Here too, Silva, but also Antonio Sabàto, is particularly honored. The lexicon of international films, on the other hand, criticized the work's attitude: "A song of praise to the loner who openly toying with self- and lynch justice and openly exploits the brutal elements of the story."
