Bože Radoš (born September 5, 1964 in Crvenice near Duvno , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Varaždin .

Life

After attending high school in Zagreb and Đakovo, Bože Radoš studied Catholic theology in Đakovo from 1983 to 1990 . On June 29, 1990 he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Đakovo and Syrmia through Bishop Ćiril Kos .

After a brief activity as chaplain in Osijek , he studied from 1991 to 1997 at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he obtained a licentiate in spiritual theology. After returning home, he was spiritual at the Catholic seminary until 2016 , responsible for the training of young priests and lecturer at the theological faculty in Đakovo. In 2010 he was appointed cathedral capitular at the Đakovo cathedral . From 2013 to 2016 he was also a member of the priestly council of the archdiocese. Since 2016 he has been the rector of the Pontifical Croatian College in Rome.

On August 1, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Varaždin. The Archbishop of Zagreb , Cardinal Josip Bozanić , donated him episcopal ordination on November 24th of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Đakovo-Osijek , Đuro Hranić , and his predecessor as Bishop of Varaždin, Josip Mrzljak .
