TÜRKAK

Türk Akreditasyon Kurumu (TÜRKAK) is the Turkish accreditation body . It was established by Law No. 4457 of November 4th, 1999. It is based in Ankara and reports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It fulfills the task of a national conformity assessment body. It accredits laboratories, certification and accreditation bodies.

Founding history

TÜRKAK has been a full member of the European Accreditation Association since 2002. Since 2004 she has been a full member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Association (ILAC). In 2006, the Multilateral Recognition Agreement (MLA) was signed with the European Accreditation Association (EA).

In addition to the domestic accreditation activities, it is also active in Azerbaijan , Uzbekistan , Iran , Afghanistan , Saudi Arabia , Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus , Romania and Lebanon .
