DANAK

The DANAK ( acronym of The Dan ske Ak loans ring fond; english The Danish Accreditations Fund , German  Danish accreditation Fund ) is the national accreditation body of the Kingdom of Denmark . The seat is Skovlunde near Copenhagen . It is the Danish counterpart to the DAkkS in Germany.

Founding history

DANAK is a business-oriented fund and has been an independent company since 2003. Since 1973 she was already responsible as Statens Tekniske Prøvenævn , English Danish National Testing Board for the approval of laboratories for testing and calibration. As part of the European Regulation (EC) No. 765/2008 (Article 4 Paragraph 1), all EU member states had to designate a single national accreditation body from January 1, 2010. This task was regulated in a contract with the Danish security technology authority. It is financed through fees and receives a subsidy from the state budget for its international tasks.
