Bojan Jokić (born May 17, 1986 in Kranj , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian football player . The defender has been under contract with the Russian first division club FK Ufa since February 2017 .

Career

society

Jokić began his professional career as a footballer in his hometown at ND Triglav Kranj in 2003 . He had previously played for the club's youth division. After he had fitted into the team, Jokić developed into a regular player. After two good years personally, he moved to the first division club ND Gorica , with whom he celebrated the championship in his first season and the runner-up the following year. The Slovenian was able to present himself on the international stage for the first time. In qualifying for the UEFA Champions League , however, they missed participation twice. Jokić was a top performer in the team from the start. In the summer of 2007 he finally moved abroad to the French representative FC Sochaux . The left-back had a much harder time asserting himself with the French than in his Slovenian homeland. Although he was often in the starting line-up in the first few games since his move, he then had problems when he only made one more appearance between the seventh and twenty-second matchdays. In the following season Jokić came to more games. It was not until 2009/10 that coach Francis Gillot relied less on the defensive player again. For this reason, the club and the players decided to take out a loan deal with the Italian club AC Chievo Verona during the winter break . Jokić made his Serie A debut on February 28, 2010 in the home game against Cagliari Calcio , when he came on for Sergio Pellissier in the 90th minute . However, he could not fight for a regular place until the end of the season.

National team

Jokić has been a member of the Slovenian national team since 2006 . He scored his only goal so far in the friendly game in the 4-1 win against Qatar on March 3, 2010. In May 2010, national coach Matjaž Kek nominated him for the squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, after the team had qualified through qualification and relegation. In the ten decisive games for qualification , Jokić was used seven times. At the World Cup itself, Jokić played all three preliminary round matches .
