Slovenian contingent

On May 11, 2010, national coach Matjaž Kek announced his preliminary 30-man squad, which included 26 players under contract outside the country's borders. On May 21, he deleted the first four players from the provisional squad, so that the goalkeeper Jan Koprivec , defender Aleksandar Rajčević , midfielder Dare Vršič and striker Miran Burgić had to bury their hopes of participating in the finals. Shortly before the end of the submission period, he announced the final, 23-player roster on June 1; Mirnes Šišič , Darijan Matič and Dejan Kelhar were the three other deleted players. Thus, out of 21 “legionnaires”, there remained two players playing in Slovenia.
