Rene Krhin (born May 21, 1990 in Maribor ) is a Slovenian football player who has played as a midfielder for FC Nantes since 2017 .

Career

In the club

In January 2007, Rene Krhin moved from NK Maribor to Inter Milan , in return Abdoulaye Diarra went from Inter to Maribor. In 2008 he won the Viareggio tournament under coach Vincenzo Esposito . In the summer of 2009, Krhin was appointed to Inter's senior team by coach José Mourinho , together with Belec , Obi and Destro . He made his Serie A debut on September 13, 2009 in a 2-0 home win against FC Parma , where he was substituted in for Wesley Sneijder in the 78th minute . In July 2010 he joined the FC Bologna , which acquired him as a co-owner, Inter Milan still owns 50 percent of his transfer rights.

Since January 2015 Krhin has been playing on loan at FC Córdoba .

For the 2015/16 season he was signed by Granada CF. Krhin made his first game for his new club on August 30, 2015 in a 2-1 win against Getafe FC . He has been playing for FC Nantes since 2017 .

In the national team

Rene Krhin is a regular of the Slovenian U-19 national team and took part in the U-19 European Championship 2009 in Ukraine , where he and his team were eliminated in the group round.

On September 5, 2009, he made his debut under Matjaž Kek in a 2-1 friendly match against England at London's Wembley Stadium in the Slovenian national team .
