Renaud Emond (born December 5, 1991 in Virton ) is a Belgian football player . He has been under contract with the French first division club FC Nantes since January 2020 .

Career

In his youth, Emond played with Royal Excelsior Virton in his birthplace. It was there that he received his first contract in 2010.

Virton played in the 3rd division of Belgium at the time, but rose to the 2nd division in 2013. At this point, Emond left the club and signed up for three years at Waasland-Beveren .

From there he moved to Standard Liège at the end of August 2015 . A contract with a term of five years was concluded. The contract was currently extended in February 2019.

In mid-January 2020 he moved to the French first division club FC Nantes , where he signed a contract until summer 2022.

Emond has not yet been appointed to the national team.
