Cristian Benavente Bristol (born May 19, 1994 in Alcalá de Henares ) is a Spanish - Peruvian football player . Mostly he plays in attacking midfield .

Club career

Cristian Benavente came to Real Madrid in 2002 where he started in the Benjamin B (U-9) age group and went through various youth teams at the club. Since the beginning of the 2012/13 season he has been part of the extended squad of Real Madrid's second team , but mainly plays in the A-Jugend ( Juvenil A ). He made his debut in the Segunda División on August 24, 2013 against AD Alcorcón .

For the 2015/16 season Benavente moved to the Milton Keynes Dons and only one year later to the Belgian first division club Sporting Charleroi .

National team

Cristian Benavente, son of the Spaniard Agustín Benavente and the former Peruvian national volleyball player Magali Bristol, played as a junior for the U-17 and U-20 of Peru , with whom he played in the 2013 South American Championship in Argentina and scored two goals in nine appearances. On April 17, 2013, the then 18-year-old finally celebrated his senior national team debut in a friendly against Mexico . In his second appearance, Benavente scored the 2-1 winner against Panama on June 1, 2013 for the Peruvians.
