Imran Louza (born May 1, 1999 in Nantes ) is a French football player of Moroccan descent who is under contract with the first division club FC Nantes . The midfielder has been a French U21 international since September 2019 .
Career
society
Louza was born in Nantes, western France, to a Moroccan and a French woman, and began playing football as a child. At the age of seven, Imran Louza moved from Etoile du Cens Nantes to the youth department of FC Nantes , where he went through the various junior selections as captain. For the 2017/18 season he was promoted to the reserve team FC Nantes II, which played in the fifth-rate Championnat National 3 . There he played for two years and scored ten goals in a total of 20 league games. During the second season 2018/19 he was also listed a few times in the first team's matchday squad. On January 4, 2019, he made his debut in the 4-1 home win against LB Châteauroux in the Coupe de France 2018/19 for the men's selection, when he was in the starting lineup and scored a goal. On the last match day (May 24, 2019) of the 2018/19 league season , he made his debut appearance in the 0-1 home defeat against Racing Strasbourg in the top French division .
In the next season 2019/20 he developed into an important regular player under the new head coach Christian Gourcuff, his first league goal on November 10, 2019 (13th matchday) in the 2-3 home defeat against AS Saint-Étienne . This season he played 24 league games in which he scored two goals and made two assists.
National team
Because of his Moroccan father, Louza is able to play for both the French and the Moroccan national team.
In 2017 he played two internationals for the Moroccan U20 national team , in which he scored once.
In March 2019, he completed two international matches for the French U20 team . The midfielder has been playing for the U21s since September 2019 .
