Kalifa Coulibaly (born August 21, 1991 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player . He has been playing for the French professional football club FC Nantes since 2017 .

Career

Club career

From 2009 to 2011, Coulibaly was under contract with his hometown team, AS Real Bamako , but was not used. From 2011 to 2014 he played for the second team of Paris Saint-Germain . In these three years he scored 30 goals in a total of 86 games. He then moved to RSC Charleroi , for which he played a total of 29 games. In June 2015, Coulibaly signed a four-year contract with KAA Gent . In the Europa League season 2016/17 he reached the quarter-finals with Gent, where they lost 6-3 to KRC Genk . With four goals, Coulibaly Gents was the top scorer this Europa League season.

National team

Kalifa Coulibaly made his debut for the Malian national team in October 2013 . He was part of the Malian squad at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations; Mali was eliminated from the tournament with just two points. On June 10, 2017, Coulibaly scored his first international goal in a 2-1 win over Gabon, the qualifying game for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt .

Just two years later, at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019, he was reappointed to the Malian squad.
