Dejan Kelhar (born April 5, 1984 in Brežice ) is a Slovenian soccer player who has been playing in the Austrian fourth division of the Styrian national division FC Bad Radkersburg since 2018 .

Club career

At the village club NK Brežice Kelhar began playing football and later switched to the offspring of the audience Celje and was loaner in the second division at NK Krško . There he played for two years in the Slovenian second division until 2004, before joining the first division audience Celje . Except for the second half of 2005, where he was loaned to Olimpija Ljubljana for 15 games , he completed 35 first division games for Celje.

Via his compatriot Aleš Kokot , a connection was established with the German second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth , where the right full-back was under contract until October 2007 before he went back to Celje. On the last day of the 2008/09 winter transfer period, Kelhar signed a contract with Cercle Bruges for the Jupiler Pro League . After two years in Belgium, Kelhar moved to Legia Warsaw in February 2011 .

This was followed by other short-term positions in Israel at Hapoel Haifa and in Turkey at Samsunspor , before Kelhar accepted an offer from FK Qəbələ from Azerbaijan in the summer of 2012 . For the following year and a half he played in the Premyer Liqası . In January 2014 he moved to the Serbian first division club FK Roter Stern Belgrade . With this club he reached the Serbian Championship at the end of the season .

For the second half of the season, the Turkish second division team Sivasspor loaned him . With the Central Anatolians he finished the season as champions of the TFF 1st Lig and achieved promotion to the Süper Lig . At the end of the season he returned to Olimpija Ljubljana and was passed on to NK Celje for the new season . During the winter break of the 2017/18 season he switched to the Austrian fourth division for the Styrian national division FC Bad Radkersburg and acted as a regular under coach Mario Haas .

National team career

Dejan Kelhar also played for Slovenian youth teams and in the U-21 national team. He made his debut in the senior national team of Slovenia in March 2010 in a friendly against Qatar .
