Bölsdorf is a district of the city of Tangermünde in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).
geography
Bölsdorf lies between the Elbe and the Tangier , which flows into the Elbe a few kilometers northeast. The Bölsdorf district is located in the floodplain of these two rivers, the Elbe meadows, and is therefore halfway surrounded by a dike. The city of Stendal is around 15 kilometers from Bölsdorf.
Local division
The districts of Bölsdorf and Köckte belong to the village of Bölsdorf.
history
Until December 31, 2009 Bölsdorf was an independent municipality with the district Köckte and belonged to the now dissolved administrative community Tangermünde .
By means of an agreement to change the area, the Bölsdorf community council decided on June 9, 2009 that the Bölsdorf community should be incorporated into the city of Tangermünde. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.
Bölsdorf and Köckte together form the village of Bölsdorf in Tangermünde. The local constitution according to §§ 86 ff. Of the municipal code of Saxony-Anhalt was introduced for the village and a local council with nine members including the local mayor was formed.

The first local mayor since incorporation was Dieter Melzer. He was followed by Arno Kesemeyer as mayor.
traffic
The municipality of Bölsdorf is located on the highway between the cities of Tangermünde and Tangerhütte . In Tangermünde there is a rail connection to Stendal , in Tangerhütte, twelve kilometers away, connections to Magdeburg and Stendal. Regular buses and on-call buses run by Regionalverkehrsbetriebe Westsachsen (RVW) under the brand name stendalbus .
