Boniface Mucheru Tumuti (born May 2, 1992 in Laikipia District ) is a Kenyan hurdler and sprinter .

In 2012 he won bronze over 400 m hurdles and in the 4 x 400 m relay at the African Athletics Championships in Porto Novo . At the Olympic Games in London he was eliminated from the 400 m hurdles in the preliminary run; in the 4 x 400 meter relay competition , he was disqualified with the Kenyan team in the preliminary run.

In 2014 he finished sixth in the 400m hurdles at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow . At the African Championships in Marrakech , he won the 400m and bronze in the 4-by-400-meter relay, and at the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech , he won the African 4-by-400-meter relay.

At the 2015 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, he was fifth in the 400 m hurdles.

In 2016, he won the African Championships in Durban in the 400-meter hurdles and took second place with the Kenyan 4-by-400-meter relay . At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , he won the silver medal over the long hurdles.
