Boryssiwka ( Ukrainian Борисівка ; Russian Борисовка Boryssowka ) is a village in the south of Ukraine Zaporizhia Oblast with about 1100 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in the Taurian Governorate in 1861 , is located on the bank of the 100 km long Obytitschna ( Обитічна ), which flows into the Sea of Azov a few kilometers further southwest and on the M 14 / E 58 highway . The village is located in Prymorsk Raion 10 km northeast of the Prymorsk Raion center and 180 km southeast of the Zaporizhia Oblast center .
To 6,519 km² district municipality with about 1800 inhabitants (2001), whose administrative center Boryssiwka is still the village belongs Azov (Ukrainian Азов ⊙ ) with about 150 inhabitants and the village Losaniwka (Ukrainian Лозанівка ⊙ ) with about 480 inhabitants.
Personalities
July 3rd came to the village . / October 16, 1907 greg. the Soviet major general , dissident and human rights activist Pyotr Grigoryevich Grigorenko was born.
