Bosteri unterm Rad is a German documentary film that deals with the living conditions in the Kyrgyz village of Bosteri . The film by the director Levin Hübner was produced as a project by the Cologne International Film School .

theme

The simple living conditions in the Kyrgyz steppe are discussed in the 24-minute documentary . The residents of the Kyrgyz town of Bosteri and their way of life are presented as examples. The village of Bosteri is located on the shores of Lake Issyk Kul , one of the largest mountain lakes in the world, and is dependent on tourism. The documentary film was shot outside the two-month high season and shows the deserted and seemingly out of time village and the few residents who populate the village outside the high season. The backdrop and namesake of the film is the small Bosteris amusement park with a ferris wheel , which is only in operation in the main season and stands still for the remaining ten months of the year.
