Boy Lüthje

Boy Lüthje (* 1959 ) is a German social scientist and university professor .

Life

After completing his diploma in sociology in 1985 and completing his doctorate in 1991 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt , Lüthje worked until 1996 as a research assistant in the social sciences department at Frankfurt University. In 1996/97 he was visiting scholar at the Institute for the Study of Social Change at the University of California , Berkeley. From 1996 to 1999 he was a post-doctoral fellow from the German Research Foundation . After being in 2000 with the venia legendi for Sociology habilitation had, he took over in the summer semester 2001, the Visiting Professor for the Department of Politics of Germany at the University of Kassel University and during the winter semester 2003/2004, the Chair for the industrial sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Frankfurt University.

In 2008/2009 he was visiting professor at the School of Labor Relations and Human Resources at Renmin University of China , Beijing . Since 2011 he has been teaching as a visiting professor and since 2016 as an endowed professor of VW China at the School of Government, Sun Yat-sen University (Guangdong) , China.
