Robert Boyd Holbrook (born September 1, 1981 in Prestonsburg , Kentucky ) is an American actor and model .

Career

Boyd Holbrook was working part-time as a stage technician at a theater in Kentucky when he was discovered by a modeling agency in 2001. After a few years on the catwalks, Holbrook began studying film at New York University and taking acting classes at William Esper Studio .

In 2008 he got his first supporting role in Gus Van Sant's Biopic Milk . Appearances in television productions such as The Unusuals and The Beautiful Life followed . In 2013 Holbrook had minor appearances in the films Seelen and Liberace , and in 2014 in David Fincher's thriller Gone Girl .

From 2015 to 2016, Holbrook starred in the Netflix series Narcos, about drug cartels in Colombia in the 1980s and 1990s. Further film and television appearances followed. In 2020 he can be seen as the main actor in the series The Fugitive .
