The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport ( IATA : BRD , ICAO : KBRD ) is the airport of the city of Brainerd in Crow Wing County in the center of the US -amerikanischen state of Minnesota .

The airport is operated by the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport Commission , a joint body of the City of Brainerd and Crow Wing County.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the airport, which is part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, as a primary commercial service airport based on the number of 16,665 departing passengers .

The airport site is eight kilometers northeast of downtown Brainerd. The Minnesota State Route 210 leads directly past the airport. The upper reaches of the Mississippi flows to the west of the airport .
