The Bemidji Regional Airport ( IATA : BJI , ICAO : KBJI ) is the airport of the city of Bemidji in Beltrami County of the north-central US -amerikanischen state of Minnesota .

The airport is jointly owned by the City of Bemidji and Beltrami County and is operated by the Airport Authority .

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the airport, which is part of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, as a primary commercial service airport based on the number of 22,007 departing passengers .

location

US Highway 2 and Paul Bunyan Drive connect the airport to Bemidji city center 6.9 km to the southeast. US Highway 71 runs not far from the airport and leads south from the Canadian border at International Falls .

Furnishing

The 700 hectare airport has two runways, each with an asphalt surface. There is a passenger terminal with two passenger boarding bridges and a baggage handling system . The rental car companies Alamo , Enterprise , Hertz , and National have bases in the reception building.

Airplanes and aircraft movements

A total of 40 aircraft are stationed at the airport. Of these, 23 are single-engine and 15 multi-engine fan guns and two are helicopters.

Of the 36 flight movements per day, 59 percent are assigned to general aviation and 13 percent to air taxi traffic. Scheduled flights make up 23 percent. There are also around five percent military aircraft movements.
