from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1997 Bram Stoker Award was presented in 1998 for literature from the previous year in seven categories. At the award ceremony, exceptional contributions to horror literature are honored every year. The Bram Stoker Award has been presented since 1987, and the winners are chosen by election by the members of the Horror Writers Association (HWA).

In 1997, as in the previous year, prizes were awarded in the seven established categories including non-fiction. In contrast to previous years, no author was nominated for several categories at the same time.
