Bram Stoker Awards 2000

The Bram Stoker Award 2000 was presented in 2001 for literature from the previous year in thirteen categories. At the award ceremony, exceptional contributions to horror literature are honored every year. The Bram Stoker Award has been presented since 1987, and the winners are chosen by election by the members of the Horror Writers Association (HWA).

In addition to the prizes awarded last year in twelve categories, another prize category has been added with the Poetry Collection category. As in previous years, several authors have been nominated several times. The author and award winner Tom Piccirilli was also nominated in the novel category, but could not win it. Richard Laymon won the novel and was also nominated for his anthology and Stephen King won the non-fiction category and was also nominated for the novel. Robert Weinberg was nominated in both the non-fiction and illustrated history categories.
