The 2001 Bram Stoker Award was presented in 2002 for literature and other media published the previous year. At the award ceremony, exceptional contributions to horror literature are honored every year. The Bram Stoker Award has been presented since 1987, and the winners are chosen by election by the members of the Horror Writers Association (HWA).

The number of categories did not change compared to the previous year, however the category “Other Media” was renamed “Alternative Forms”.
