Jeff Mariotte

Jeff Mariotte (born September 7, 1955 in Park Forest , Illinois ) is an American author. Although he is also known for his own work, he is still better known in the United States as a writer of short stories , novels or comics based on licensed products such as television series .

Life

Born in Park Forest, Illinois, Jeff Mariotte moved with his family at the age of six when his father, an administrative officer with the United States Department of Defense , was first transferred to Paris . Since then he has lived in Arlington and Reston , ( Virginia ) Worms and Schriesheim , San José , San Diego and Arizona .

He studied at San José State University , where he graduated with a degree in radio / TV / film.

He worked as a delivery agent for the Washington Post , in a comic book store, as the maintenance manager of a large regional mall, and sold encyclopedias in direct sales while he was a student . He was the director of Hunteri's Books when his first script was published. He was vice president of marketing and editor-in-chief for comic book publisher WildStorm Productions and became editor-in-chief of IDW Publishing and a freelance writer. He and his wife Maryelizabeth Hart and partner Terry Gilman own Mysterious Galaxy, an independent bookstore specializing in mystery , science fiction , fantasy and horror .

He is the author of the series Witch Season and has drawn a total of eleven books and comics based on the Charmed - Magic Witches - or Angel - Hunters of Darkness TV series. In May 2006 he announced that he would withdraw from the franchise project for the Angel series. He is also the creator and author of the Desparadoes comic book series and the Graveslingers series, which takes place in the Weird West - Western milieu. In addition, he worked for other series projects: u. a. CSI: Miami , Supernatural , Andromeda , Star Trek , Criminal Minds or Las Vegas .

He currently lives on the Flying M. Ranch in Arizona with his family. Politically, he is committed to the Democratic Party .
