Bram Tankink (born December 3, 1978 in Haaksbergen ) is a former Dutch cyclist .
Athletic career
Tanking began his international career in 2001 with the Belgian cycling team Domo-Farm Frites . In 2003 he moved to the Quick Step team , where he stayed until the end of the 2007 season. Tankink won two international competitions for Quick Step: In the Germany Tour 2005 , he won his first international road race despite a fall with a solo victory on the rainy first stage. He took over the leadership of the tour, which he kept until the end of the third stage. In September 2007 he won the one-day race Grand Prix Jef Scherens as a solo winner. He also occupied When ProTour - stage race ENECO Tour 2007 to seventh place overall
For the 2008 season, Tanking switched to the Rabobank team , for which he drove until the end of his career at the end of the 2018 season, whereby the name of the team changed several times. During this time he could not win any more races on the international calendar, but finished eighth overall at the ENECO Tour 2008 .
Tankink contested its last race on October 13, 2018 at the Ronde van Zeeland . Two weeks later he was subjected to another doping control .
Tanking took part in 17 "Grand Tours" , of which he completed 14. His best placings were 39th place in the 2007 Tour de France , 34th place in the Vuelta a España 2009 and 36th place in the Giro d'Italia 2011 .
