Brandstatt is a settlement near Au vorm Wald . The hamlet is part of the municipality of Hunderdorf in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Brandstatt is located about 400 m east of Au vorm Wald and 2.2 kilometers northeast of Hunderdorf at an altitude of 435 m . In terms of its settlement structure, Brandstatt is classified in the outdoor area statute as a "fragmented settlement situated in the outer area", which is however "no longer predominantly agricultural".

history

The hamlet of Brandstadt (old spelling) belonged to the Hofmark Au vorm Wald in the Mitterfels district court . When the community was formed in Bavaria in 1818 , Brandstatt became part of the Au vorm Wald community. In 1861 the place had six buildings and eleven inhabitants, the source from 1867 already wrote Brandstatt . With the municipality of Au vorm Wald, Brandstatt was incorporated into the municipality of Steinburg in 1946 and, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria in 1978, to Hunderdorf.
