Brandstatt is a locality and, as Brandstattgraben, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Stanz in the Mürz Valley in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
The scattered settlement consists of the hamlet of Vorder Eben and several individual layers and is located south of Stanz on the northern slope of the Hochschlag ( 1580 m above sea level ) in the Fischbacher Alps .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 79 building areas with 65,902 m² and 51 gardens on 55,682 m² in the cadastral community of Brandstattgraben , in 1989/1990 there were 108 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 297 and in 2009/2010 there were 143 buildings on 300 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 378 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 885 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 204 hectares and 1,028 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 175 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 1,034 hectares. The average soil climate of Brandstattgraben is 18.2 (as of 2010).
