Breitenried (in the local dialect: Broanriad ) is a village in the Upper Austrian Innviertel and part of the municipality Taiskirchen im Innkreis in the district of Ried im Innkreis .
structure
The village is divided into the following settlements:
- Breitenried ( Rotte )
- Hörmansedt (Rotte)
In 2002, Unterbreitenried was separated as a separate village.
history
The first documentary mentions can be found in the registers of documents and files from the Aurolzmünster Castle Archives: in 1533 as Ried and in 1678 as Praidriedt . The name "Ried" refers to a former swamp area. The place was dominated by agriculture for a long time. Due to the structural change and in particular the construction of a canal from 2005, the proportion of single-family houses continued to increase. The numbering of the houses was reorganized in 2002. Place signs were erected in 2010 .
