Bremen Film Prize
The Bremen Film Prize is a film prize for many years of service to European film.
On the initiative of Bremen's municipal cinema City 46 and the Bremen Media Center , the Gut für Bremen Foundation of Sparkasse Bremen has been awarding the Bremen Film Prize to personalities from the European film scene (actors, directors, authors, musicians and producers) with the Bremen Film Prize, initially annually since 1999 and every two years from 2015 . The prize was last endowed with 8,000 euros.
The award is presented on the eve of the annual International Bremen Symposium on Film in January in a festive setting in the upper town hall and is redesigned each time by a different Bremen artist.
In 2017, a young talent film prize was also awarded; this award winner was determined by the main award winner.
For organizational reasons, there was no award in 2019.
