Brenda Fricker (born February 17, 1945 in Dublin ) is an Irish actress and Oscar winner .
Life
Brenda Fricker began her career on Irish stages and later moved to London . She has starred in several television productions since the 1970s, but was still very unknown internationally when she won the 1990 Oscar for best supporting actress in the drama My Left Foot .
Fricker was married to Barrie Davies and has been widowed since 1990.
