Map of the letter centers of the Austrian Post

In 1998 Österreichische Post AG still had 38 mail centers (logistics centers), which have since been reduced to 6. According to the information provided by Post AG, the planning of the areas of responsibility was based on the fact that the delivery bases or postcodes are located in circular radii of around 80 km around the centers. Areas further away are assigned to a BZ with the shortest possible travel time.
