Culture

Each year in August, the community hosts an event called SeaScare , a pun on Seafair , a summer festival in Seattle . The event includes a "Porch Light Parade", competitions, music and the showing of a classic film, as well as other activities. It also includes nautical issues in relation to its relationship with Seafair. The event is supported by the few companies in Brier. SeaScare tries to create a sense of community in a small town, which is also reflected in the nostalgic contributions and the film.
