The Brockzeteler Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Aurich in the Aurich district . Its name goes back to the Brockzetel district , in which the moor is located.
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 179 is 180 hectares . It is a largely dismantled high moor area on which bushes, heather and bentgrass have settled. After rewetting , the moor can regenerate.
The area has been a nature reserve since December 20, 1986. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Aurich.
