The Bruchbach is an 8.3 km long, northern and orographically right tributary of the Hessel in the area of the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Gütersloh .
The Bruchbach rises west of Borgholzhausen in the Kleekamp district . Shortly after it has flowed into the Salzenteichs Heide nature reserve , it crosses the border to the town of Versmold , continues on its way south to south-west and first takes the Rolfbach , then the Halstenbeck Bach and a few dozen meters before its mouth also the Oberwiesengraben on the left. East of the Versmold district of Oesterweg , it flows into the Ems tributary Hessel .
