Bruno Grua (born June 18, 1946 in Lyon ) is a French Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Saint-Flour .

Life

Bruno Grua entered the seminary of Issy-les-Moulineaux in 1964 , worked from 1966 to 1968 at a Catholic college in Jaffa and was ordained a priest on July 3, 1971 . After working as a high school pastor and parish priest in the diocese of Digne , he became the episcopal vicar for the apostolate of the laity there in 1983, before he was promoted to vicar general of the diocese the following year . He held this office until 1996 and again from 1998 to 2003. Pope John Paul II awarded Grua the title of Honorary Prelate of His Holiness in January 2004 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Saint-Flour on March 31, 2006 . The old archbishop of Marseille , Bernard Cardinal Panafieu , donated him episcopal ordination on June 18 of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Grua's predecessor René Séjourné , former bishop of Saint-Flour, and François-Xavier Loizeau , bishop of Digne.
