The Bruxenelle is a river in France that runs in the Marne department in the Grand Est region . It rises under the name Ruisseau de l'Étang in the municipality of Trois-Fontaines-l'Abbaye , drains in many loops generally in a westerly direction and flows after 40 kilometers on the outskirts of Vitry-en-Perthois as a left tributary into the Saulx . At Brusson , the Bruxenelle passes under the Canal de la Marne au Rhin, which runs parallel to the Ornain .
