The gmina wiejska Brzeziny [ bʒɛˈʑinɨ ] is an independent rural municipality in Poland in the powiat Brzeziny in the Łódź Voivodeship . Its seat is in the city of Brzeziny ( German Brzeziny ). The rural community, to which the town of Brzeziny itself does not belong, has an area of 106.6 km², on which (as of June 30, 2019) 5736 people live.

The rural community is Brzeziny is located about 10 kilometers east of the center of Łódź . It includes the city of Brzeziny on all sides. 74% of the municipal area is used for agriculture, 21% is covered with forest.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the rural community belonged to the Skierniewice Voivodeship .
