Buchholz is a district of the town of Visselhövede in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony .

Buchholz is located in the northern area of the city of Visselhövede, five kilometers north of the core town of Visselhövede. Neighboring towns are - clockwise from the north - Rosebruch , Hiddingen , Visselhövede (core town), Jeddingen and Wittorf .

history

Since the regional reform that came into force on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Buchholz has been one of 15 localities in the city of Visselhövede.

Economy and Infrastructure

Buchholz is far from the main traffic. The federal highway 27 runs 16 km away to the southwest. Of Bomlitz about Visselhövede to Rotenburg (Wümme) leading national road 440 extends southwestern, two kilometers away. The federal road 71 from Soltau via Neuenkirchen to Rotenburg (Wümme) runs eight kilometers to the northeast.
