Bleckwedel is a district of the town of Visselhövede in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony .

Bleckwedel is located in the southwestern area of ​​the city of Visselhövede, 7 km southwest of the core town of Visselhövede. The Bleckwedel district includes the localities Bleckwedel, Lehrden and Egenbostel as well as the single-digit court Tadel and Königshof.

Neighboring towns are - clockwise from the north - Jeddingen , Visselhövede (core town), Kettenburg , Stellichte , Sieverdingen , Heins and Schafwinkel .

Since the regional reform, which came into force on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality Bleckwedel has been one of 15 localities in the city of Visselhövede.

Economy and Infrastructure

Bleckwedel is far from the main traffic. The federal highway 27 runs eight kilometers to the south, the federal highway 440 leading from Bomlitz via Visselhövede to Rotenburg (Wümme) runs six kilometers to the north and the state road L 171 from Visselhövede to Verden (Aller) runs two kilometers to the north.

There are no street names in Bleckwedel, only house numbers that residents, postmen, vendors and visitors have to use for orientation.
