Sieverdingen is the smallest district of the city of Walsrode in the Lower Saxony district of Heidekreis . Around 120 people live in the heath village on an area of ​​5.8 km².

Sieverdingen is located in the northern area of ​​the city of Walsrode, about eight kilometers northwest of the core town of Walsrode.

Neighboring communities are - clockwise from the north - Bleckwedel , Stellichte , Ebbingen , Walsrode (Kernort), Fulde , Idsingen and Großheins .

history

For the first time in 1316, first as "Synerddincghe", later as "Sievern", the village was mentioned in a document . In Low German , the residents still call their place “Sievern” today.

Since the regional reform , which came into force on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Sieverdingen has been one of 23 localities in the city of Walsrode.

Economy and Infrastructure

Sieverdingen is far from the main traffic. The federal highway 27 runs four kilometers away to the south. Of Bad Fallingbostel about Walsrode and Rethem to Nienburg leading national highway 209 runs south, eight kilometers away.

In Sieverdingen there are no street names, only house numbers that residents, postmen, suppliers and visitors have to use for orientation.
