Idsingen is a district of the city of Walsrode in the Lower Saxony district of Heidekreis . In the heath village, in which agriculture determines the picture, about 170 inhabitants live on an area of 9.5 km².

Idsingen is located in the northern area of the city of Walsrode, eight kilometers northwest of the core town of Walsrode. Neighboring towns are - clockwise from the north - Sieverdingen , Ebbingen , Fulde , Hamwiede (city of Walsrode) and Heins (municipality of Kirchlinteln ).
history
The beginnings of the town of Idsingen go back to the year 1385. Since the regional reform, which came into effect on March 1, 1974, the previously independent municipality of Idsingen has been one of 23 localities in the city of Walsrode.

Culture and sights
- An old transformer tower in the center of the village can be viewed from the outside . It is a branch of the Heidemuseum in Walsrode.
Economy and Infrastructure
Idsingen is far away from major traffic. The federal motorway 27 runs 2 km southwards. The federal road 209 leading from Bad Fallingbostel via Walsrode and Rethem to Nienburg runs southeast, 9 km away.
In Idsingen there are no street names, only house numbers that residents, postmen, vendors and visitors have to use for orientation.
